Short profile
The ERC Library provides services to Plateau State Schools and the general public through its rich collection of books, reference materials, journals, research reports, computer/internet services, and the provision of laminating and photocopying services to readers.
It promotes and facilitates Readership Campaigns through the Young Readers Clubs in Plateau State Schools and encourages schools to enforce the library hour on their timetable. It trains and facilitates the attendance of Library staff at service improvement workshops.
The ERC Library Services Division is presently Composed of the following Libraries:
Furthermore, the libraries has the following sections
- Technical Section
- Serial Section
- Children Section
- Reserved Section
- Circulation Section
- Reference Section
- Users are to register before using the Library
- Users are to sign the visitors / Readers book indicating clearly his residential address.
- Users are not to tamper with any electrical fittings.
- Users are not to take away books from the Library.
- No eating, smoking, noise making, bending or mutilation of books.
- Bags are not allowed into the library and are to be kept at a corner by the entrance of the library and are kept at owners’ risk.
- Users are to allow proper checking before leaving the library.
- Readers are to leave books consulted on the table and not to shelve the books by themselves
- Phone calls are not allowed inside the library
- Users to have and show their Users Identity cards before they are allowed into the library.

- School & Public Libraries Branch
- Virtual Library
- Borrowing of Books: The ERC Library is a Reference Library and therefore does not allow book borrowing.
- Inter-Library Co-operation: The Reference Library encourages inter-library cooperation.
